Do i have to let my baby cry?

Crying is your child’s way of protesting change, and you can expect that making changes to their sleep habits will result in some protest. This is why I’m always sure to tell parents that this program will most likely involve at least some amount of protest on the child’s part. Please understand that I will never ask you to leave your child to cry alone, nor will I ask you to ignore their cries. Your plan will be one you are comfortable with, based on your knowledge of your child and my expertise.

how long will it take for my baby to sleep all night?

Every baby is different, so this is a difficult question to answer. Some babies start sleeping uninterrupted through the night on night one, although that doesn’t happen for every family. As long as parents follow their customized plan consistently, most babies should start to show some improvement in their nighttime sleep within the first week.

how will i know when my baby should nap?

Naps are an important part of a child’s sleep, up to about the age of 3. Your customized plan will provide you with a schedule that works for your family, and includes naps as well as nighttime sleep.
